Only author of this site: J. Benney. You can email me at yb at voxish dot org, and if you have comments, additions, or suggestions, please do.

Most of the emails I get ask one of two questions: one is about whether I've heard from Y., and one is whether I know anything about re-releasing the cassette and single. In answer to the first question, I'm writing this in January 2022, and I have not heard anything more since I updated the page in November 2014. Sorry! In answer to the second question, I can't personally help you with anything, but US copyright law still applies to Y.'s works.

I don't live in America, but if you are near the Library of Congress, it may be possible for you to examine the copyright documents that are stored under Y.'s various identities. I wrote to them asking for further information and didn't hear back. If you're interested in following up, let me know.

Thanks to Phil, Fofo, axolotl, (various other contributors, whose details were unfortunately accidentally deleted from this page -- sorry), and Laura Brown for their suggestions and comments.

Y. and HITA on Wikipedia.

Y. on Discogs. If you want to buy copies of the cassette or single, this is probably the best place to start. I haven't seen any on sale for a long time though.

In 2019, Ben Arzate published a short novel which uses Y. as a plot thread. It's The Story of the Y (available on Amazon). Thanks to Ben for sending me a copy!

New Hyde Park, New York and San Luis, Lima - Y.'s home town/s. Take a look at PO Box 323 if you're at the former.
